Limited 180gm orange colored vinyl LP pressing. Iggy Pop's 1979 album New Values was his first solo effort sans input from David Bowie and marked his last collaboration with former Stooges guitarist James Williamson until their 2009 reunion. With Williamson holding down production the guitar duties are largely left to Stooges/Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers sideman Scott Thurston. New wave flourishes pop up here with Iggy's pioneering proto-punk sound getting a lean and spacious recast while his Bowie influenced songwriting continues to blossom with the likes of "Tell Me A Story," "I'm Bored," "How Do Ya Fix a Broken Part," "Billy Is a Runaway" and "Five Foot One." Gatefold, colored 180g vinyl LP with 24" x 24" poster from Friday Music, mastered by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music Studios and Capitol Mastering and manufactured at RTI.
