PRE ORDER: Alchemy - Charisse Baldoria (CD)

Composer-pianist Charisse Baldoria draws upon her Southeast Asian and Hispanic heritage, popular music, jazz, improvisation, and literature in her work. She has performed on five continents and is a prizewinner in international and national piano competitions. At the University of Michigan, she studied composition with Erik Santos and Susan Botti, electronic music with Evan Chambers, and piano with Logan Skelton. Before moving to the United States as a Fulbright scholar from the Philippines, she worked as a composer-arranger, writing music for Philippine Airlines and other large companies and government agencies. She teaches piano, composition, and an Honors Interdisciplinary Creation seminar at Commonwealth University in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.
