PRE ORDER: Crossroads - Federico Colli (CD)

Having established himself as one of the most distinctive pianists of his generation, Federico Colli is acclaimed for the insight and individuality of his interpretations. He brings a deeply considered approach to the piano repertoire, combining expressive freedom with profound respect for the composer's intentions. This album presents a programme of works all transcribed by Russian pianists. Initially popularised by Franz List, the art of transcription has a rich history in the piano repertoire. Colli's programme also pays tribute to his Russian teachers and mentors (Konstantin Bogino, Boris Petrushansky and Pavel Gililov). The album also includes the first recording of Maria Grinberg's transcription of Schubert's Fantaisie in F minor.
