The album marks an evolution of the award-winning pair's signature sound, blending soaring vocal harmonies, hook-laden guitar riffs, and their trademark balance of sweetness and grit. There is also a distinct nod to 1970s pop throughout the record, with lush strings and backing vocals reminiscent of Burt Bacharach and The Carpenters.
