PRE ORDER: Mozart: Vn Cons Nos. 4 & 5 - Lisa Batiashvili (CD)

Alpha Classics is delighted to begin a collaboration with Lisa Batiashvili on several projects. For her first album, she performs W. A. Mozart's 4th and 5th Violin Concertos with Kammerakademie Potsdam under the baton of their new artistic director, Francois Leleux. This is the first time Lisa has recorded Mozart concertos. Perhaps we understand this music best when we are children, or once we have become very experienced musicians, she says. Every time I return to his music, I never stop rediscovering it. It's wonderful to grow up and grow old with it. The album features several cadenzas for the concertos, as well as an original work, by the 17-year-old Georgian musician Tsotne Zedginidze, a gifted pianist and composer who is supported by the Lisa Batiashvili Foundation.
