PRE ORDER: On The Record - Gilbert O'Sullivan (CD)

Gilbert O'Sullivan returns with On the Record, a new studio album from one of Britain's most enduring songwriters. With a career spanning 6 decades and featuring classics including "Alone Again (Naturally)," "Clair" and "Get Down," he remains a singular voice in British songwriting. His wit, warmth and melodic craftsmanship continue to resonate with audiences old and new. Produced by Gilbert alongside Andy Wright, On the Record finds him continuing to write with the insight, melody and understated humor that have defined his remarkable career. Highlights include the soulful "It's Me," with it's unmistakable '70s feel; the duet "Is That You?" featuring Andrea Corr; and the wryly autobiographical "Growing Old Disgracefully," where Gilbert quips that "growing old disgracefully beats the hell out of staying well." Mixed by Tony Hoffer, the album balances intimacy with rich, timeless production, allowing Gilbert's voice and songwriting to take center stage. CD Digisleeve, 28-page booklet.
