"Bobby Womack was one of the most distinctive voices in soul music—singer, songwriter, and guitarist whose work bridged gospel, R&B, and funk. From his early days with The Valentinos to his classic solo recordings for United Artists Records, Womack shaped the sound of modern soul with raw emotion and fearless creativity. His songs have influenced generations of artists across soul, rock, and hip-hop.
